First of all, you should try to get some real practice time. It is always best to practice before taking the actual test. You can do this by having a friend/family member take the exams with you or by getting pre-fabricated tests from some of the sites on the internet that offer free practice tests. The point is that you do some serious studying before the exam so you will be better prepared.
When you go to your local library to get pre-fabricated tests, there may be a lot of books on nursing, which are printed on paper. Since most people study by themselves by using books or notes, it may work for you as well. Just make sure the book is printable.
Now it’s time to get down to business. On each page of the book, you will have ten multiple-choice questions on it. The answer choices could be highlighted in blue, red, yellow, or any other color. The bottom of the page has three check boxes, which will tell you what option is selected by clicking on them. You may also find charts with your scores on them.
If you like, you can type in your answers directly onto the page. If you have lots of time, you can even type them in by hand. However, if this seems like too much trouble, just open a free Microsoft Word document and type your answers into it. Your results will look just as good as those printed on the page. If you want, you can print both the Word document and the answer sheets for a nice collage.
Once you have found the questions that you want to take, you can click on the “Print” button. This will bring up a page with all your options. You can print the page in landscape, portrait, or landscape-version. You also have the choice of choosing a font. Some of the fonts are Times New Roman, Arial, Helvetica, and Palatino Linotype. You can also print the entire test if you want.
Once you’ve printed the page, you’re ready for the next part of the process. That’s following the prompts to answer the questions. The prompt will vary, depending on the item or topic for which you’re taking the practice test. For example, if you’re practicing for the TOEFL exam, you’ll get a prompt asking you to read from a tote bag, spell the word “pasta,” find the number and read it out, add two numbers, and so on. You’ll get additional prompts throughout the course of your practice tests.
You will need to print off the test at least once. Then you should review the questions that you failed. Memorize the answers. Review the practice tests that you took. And then practice the skills that you’ve learned. Your confidence should grow because you are now armed with three resources: the official study guide, the printed copy of the test, and the actual questions that you have been given to assess your readiness.
To prepare for future tests, make sure you study in your own home. Download a variety of flashcards or necktie-type flash cards so that you can review any area that you haven’t studied. Make sure that you get into the habit of reviewing prior to actually taking the test. This will enable you to get into the mode of focusing specifically on the material that you know needs to be studied.
A final suggestion is to develop a study schedule. Teas v practice test may be easy but they still demand attention when you sit down to take them. So get a notebook or planner to help keep you on task and focused. Plan at least two and a half hours of studying time each day. When you get to the test, just review what you’ve already done in the notebook or planner.
By following all of these suggestions, you should have an easier time of taking the final tests. If you find that there are things that you need to practice more, be sure to find extra materials or tools that will help you. You’ll also be less likely to feel overwhelmed when you start taking the actual test. Hopefully, after putting in the work and putting in the time for the final exams, you’ll have better success with your studies and be able to ace your exams.
