After I submitted the information, I immediately started reviewing all of my materials. I knew that I had read all of the material that I needed to for this particular test, but it did not make any difference. When I took the second test, I started getting more comfortable with the questions and my answers. The reason for this is because I started getting familiar with the types of questions I would be asked and I started answering them quickly so that my mind does not start flashing and going “Whew, I get it”!
Another thing that I learned about the tea test is that you need to do a few practice questions before taking the real thing. This is a very big plus, especially if you are going to be studying with a friend or a co-worker. Having an extra pair of hands will help you tremendously to learn how the questions are phrased and how they are supposed to be answered. This is also very helpful if you are taking the test with a spouse, parent, or sibling.
Most people prepare by going over everything in their study guide and then they go right into the test. This is not the way to do it. Only after you have gone through a decent amount of practice questions should you even consider sitting for the actual test.
Some people don’t think that there is a big difference between the cost to take a quiz and a tea test. I think this is another misconception. If you are doing it for personal use then maybe you can justify spending more money on the tea, but for professional use I don’t think you can justify using something so expensive just to learn your teas. You will definitely spend more time studying and trying to memorize everything so you don’t forget it, and that’s a big time sink.
I would recommend that you learn how to prepare properly for your tea test and take it as soon as possible. It will definitely save you time and money, and that is worth any price. So get prepared and take your tea test as soon as you can, but not too early. You will learn how to prepare and when to do it the most effective way when you follow my advice.
