How is Tea Test Difficult?

If you are preparing to take the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) exam then one of the most important questions you will face is “What are teas and caffeine?”. Caffeine can be a challenge for people who are used to heavy caffeinated drinks. Most people consume three cups of coffee a day, which is close to six pounds of caffeine each day. A person may feel dizzy or anxious after consuming large amounts of caffeine just from drinking tea.

There are some who claim that tea may cause nervousness, even anxiety at times. It is best not to consume too much tea as a way to prevent this side effect. If a person is consuming caffeinated tea or has a sweet tooth then they may have a hard time avoiding caffeine at dinner time.

So, how does this relate to the CNA test? The CNA exam can be challenging because of caffeine. One recommendation is to consume a beverage that contains very little caffeine before going to bed. In the morning when you wake up drink a delicious hot tea or a good cup of coffee.

Drink an unsweetened beverage throughout the day. This will help curb the appetite. If you find that your stomach is not refilling quickly at all during the day then you should reduce the amount of calories that you are consuming. You can also substitute low calorie yogurt or some sugar free gelatin for dessert. This will cut back on the amount of food that you are consuming during the exam time period.

Another recommendation is to eat several small meals throughout the day. Eating smaller meals gives your body time to digest everything properly. If there are any leftovers the next day they will not be digested as well. By taking small meals throughout the day, your body will be able to process everything better thus reducing the amount of discomfort that you may feel from the diet. Eating each meal slowly will also give you time to sample the different foods and flavors.

Another way to make the CNA test less difficult is to avoid alcohol and caffeine as much as possible. These substances are definitely known to trigger anxiety attacks. Also, try to get plenty of rest. If you do sleep too much then you run the risk of having a nervous breakdown. Too much sleep can also make the test itself more difficult. If you do decide to take alcohol or caffeine during the day, make sure that you keep things controlled and that you do not consume too much.

How is caffeine tested? Two different types of caffeine are being looked at for the CNA exam. One is the decaffeinated form and the other is the caffeinated variety. If you choose to have caffeine during the test then you should look for a supplement that contains xylitol or mannitol. Xylitol is better because it passes through the small intestine much faster than mannitol. The other type of caffeine that can be tested is the taurine supplement.

As the test progresses, you will have to make sure that you do not have any of the above mentioned symptoms. It is a good idea to start by drinking one glass of water with the tea in order to eliminate any potential caffeine side effect. After you finish the water then move on to two cups. If you find yourself becoming anxious after the second cup then you may want to skip the third or fourth cup. Also, do not drink the entire pot at once. This is a common mistake made by many people who think they are getting a double dose of caffeine.
