I have two friends who are teachers in private schools. One of them has a series of books that are available through Amazon, which he uses as a supplement to his classroom teaching. He really likes the format and the pace that it works with. He also has set up several study guides for different topics that he uses each semester in order to prepare for the exam. The one thing that he does differently than I would do is that instead of buying the book from Amazon, he just goes to Amazon and downloads the study guide from there.
As far as I can tell, Amazon provides a quality study guide. My friend uses the same one for all the subjects. He doesn’t seem to have any problems with it whatsoever. His main concern was that since he was using an eBook he didn’t have access to all of the books that were specific to the course that he was teaching. That’s a concern that I agree with.
If you want a resource that covers a wide variety of topics but you don’t want to buy a book, then I would suggest downloading a study guide instead. You can get one for just about anything. Even self-study guides are available if you have that sort of time to invest.
There are other reasons why some people don’t like Amazon. One of them is that they feel like it takes too long to get the information that they need. It really depends on what kind of information you’re looking for. If you’re taking a practice test, then you probably won’t be focusing on anything else anyway. I’ve noticed that many of the books that Amazon does have aren’t exactly focused on the format of the exam.
Another issue that some people have is the fact that there are so many options out there that it makes it hard to choose which one is the best. There are literally hundreds of eBooks and study guides available for this exam. Each one claims to be better than the last one. That’s why you have to take the time to look through them all. If you don’t take the time to do that, then you could end up with information overload and just give up.
There is one factor that none of the eBook or study guide sellers give you that you can’t get any other way: practice tests. A lot of them do give you one or two free practice tests, but if those tests are only one or two of what you should be doing, then how are you supposed to know which ones will help you? That’s why I always recommend that you buy yourself at least one book or two on the actual format of the actual exam. You can do a lot of research on that at Amazon and I’ll link it below.
Once you know what kind of preparation you should do, the second part of the process is to go and actually take the actual exam. This will probably be the most expensive part, so it’s important to do plenty of research before you start. You can find much more information on that at Amazon.
